From visiting Father Christmas to a wreath making course, there is lots to keep the family entertained this season at Museum Wales/Amgueddfa Cymru.
Christmas Botanical Illustration
National Museum Cardiff

This one-day course is a chance to try your hand at the art of botanical illustration with a Christmas theme. Working under the guidance of artist Debbie Devauden, you’ll learn the techniques required to create your own Christmas card design.
Christmas Willow Wreaths

Using traditional willow weaving techniques, come and learn how to make beautiful, natural Christmas wreaths for your home on this half-day hands-on course.
A Big Waterfront Christmas

Enjoy the perfect festive afternoon with an extra flurry of seasonal sparkle. With real reindeer, children’s crafts, music to bring good cheer and a special storytime with Santa!
Big Museum Christmas Quiz

For a festive evening of quirky quiz questions gather your team and get competitive with rounds of music, photos, general knowledge and mystery museum objects! Plus prizes and a bar, and all set in the beautiful Warehouse Gallery...an evening not to be missed! Ideal with friends and family, or with colleagues as an alternative festive night out. £4.50pp (Teams of 6 Max) - including a free glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. This event will be hosted in English and Christmas jumpers are optional.

Father Christmas and his Elves will be visiting St Fagans Museum once again this year, and you’re invited to a very special event in the festive setting of Llys Llywelyn, the Museum’s impressive reconstruction of a 13th century Princes Court.
