This outdoor adventure was everything they dreamed of, from fragrant flowers to the Rhossili wild horses.

How did you find the planning the wedding, how long did it take you?
Planning the wedding was definitely stressful, just like everyone says, but after being engaged for 15 years, I had a clear vision of what I wanted and was genuinely excited to finally bring it to life. Over the past two years, I’ve been carefully piecing everything together, and while the process had its challenges, it was incredibly rewarding to see it all come together just the way I imagined.

What was the colour theme or inspiration for the wedding?
The wedding, ceremony and reception were all held at the beautiful King Arthur located in the Gower and the theme was rooted in a natural, rustic feel. I’ve always loved the outdoors, and I wanted to create a setting that felt calm, beautiful, and organic - just like the peaceful feeling I get when surrounded by nature. The overall vibe was soft and earthy, almost like stepping into a serene meadow, with shades of green and plenty of greenery used throughout to bring that fresh, outdoor atmosphere to life. The bridesmaids wore a deep green, which perfectly complemented the the flowers and my bridal dress, tying the whole look together beautifully.

Where did you get your dress from?
The dress was from White Orchid Bridal is Swansea and the designer was Morilee by Madeline Gardner.
Tell us about the flowers like?
The flowers were an important part of my wedding and something I put a lot of thought into. I chose real bouquets for myself and the bridal party from Wedding Flowers Wales in Llanelli - this was definitely a non-negotiable for me, as I absolutely love the scent of fresh flowers. The beautiful fragrance coming from the bouquets was truly stunning and added something really special to the day. The arrangements matched the theme perfectly, with plenty of greenery, soft creams, and a wild, natural feel. We had a deconstructed floral arch that reflected the same wildflower theme, creating a striking focal point for the ceremony. The tables were decorated with flowers at varying heights, placed just right to give a natural, flowing look. And of course, in a venue like the King Arthur, decorating the staircase was an absolute must - it looked magical covered in matching florals and greenery.

What little extras did you have?
I definitely wanted to tie the whole theme together, and with the help of a very talented tech-savvy friend, we created all the signage ourselves - from the welcome signs to the seating plan. The tables were named after places that are special to us, for example, one was called Riverside, after the caravan park where we first met. We used rustic card for all the printed designs, which tied in with the natural, rustic vibe of the day. One of the standout touches was a custom wedding newspaper we put together for our guests. It featured a bit about our journey as a couple, a timeline of the day’s events, and even a crossword puzzle at the back which many of our guests really enjoyed filling out during the quieter moments. For favours, we made personalised Mr and Mrs Humphrey biscuits, of course in green to keep with the theme. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect our story and create a warm, personal atmosphere throughout the day.

How did you entertain the guests?
We had a saxophonist during the day, and it was absolutely amazing walking down the aisle to such talented live music. Darren Sax really set the tone, he also played some classic bangers during the drinks reception, which created a brilliant, upbeat atmosphere. In the evening, we opted for a DJ who kept the dance floor full with proper wedding party songs. It was the perfect mix of live performance and party vibes, and we loved dancing the night away surrounded by family and friends.

Tell us about the photographer?
Well, what can I say? I booked Mike without even meeting him first because I had done quite a bit of research, and his work was exactly what I wanted - artistic shots of the day that didn’t feel forced or overly romantic, as we’re just not that kind of couple. I wanted the pictures to reflect our jokey personalities but also show our compatibility (after all, it is a wedding).
When I finally met Mike at the wedding fayre, I was full of nerves. Photography was really high on my list of priorities for the day. Mike could see I was nervous and particular, but he was fantastic at reassuring us that he had everything under control and truly understood our vision.
On the day itself, I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. Mike was fun, professional, and felt like someone I’d known forever. His videographer, Floyd, was equally amazing. It didn’t take long for all of us to feel comfortable and natural with them snapping away during such an important day.
I specifically chose One Vision Photography because of the stunning location shots I’d seen. We really wanted to have photographs at our favourite place, Rhossili, with the horses and in front of Worm’s Head. Nothing was too much trouble, and I think the photos from those moments perfectly show how talented One Vision Photography really are.
Would you recommend One Vision to other couples?
Absolutely, I would recommend One Vision Photography to other couples - I couldn’t fault them!

What was the highlight of the day?
Honestly, there were so many amazing moments, but one of the biggest highlights was being taken away to Rhossili for a bit, walking with my new husband in our favourite place and having time to really take in the moment. The stunning surroundings with the horses and Worm’s Head made it feel truly magical.
