If you are a regular gym goer or want to start getting into fitness, The Vale Resort is second to none and will help you achieve the wellness goals you’ve always dreamed of with plenty of fun along the way.

The Vale Resort’s qualified fitness consultants offer fitness assessments, devise tailored training programmes as well as private training and small-group training. The facilities are unrivalled with 80 Technogym cardiovascular and resistance machines with a designated ‘HIIT’ zone (high intensity interval training), including Wattbikes, favoured by world-leading athletes including Andy Murray and the British and Irish Lions squad. The stationary bikes, originally developed for professional and amateur cyclists, feature in the Vale Resort’s new HIIT classes and not only measure your power, speed and heart rate, but also analyse your pedalling technique. Technogym’s machines, which offer a high calorie burn where you can try virtual workouts that simulate climbing Mount Etna or scaling the fjords of Norway. Tanita digital body fat and weight scales enables members to measure their body composition, before recording and tracking those details in the mywellness app.

In addition, the resort’s air-conditioned dance studios offer between 55 and 70 dance and fitness classes a week. There are also three squash courts and outdoor tennis courts, and a studio for Pilates and yoga classes.

The club also has a crèche, day nursery and kids’ club, plus children’s activity academies for four to 13 year olds during school holidays. There is also a dedicated timetable of activities, aimed to encourage children, and not just adults, to enjoy exercising. The classes include fun circuit classes to football and rugby skills.

After you’ve hit the gym, the health club’s wet facilities include a 20-metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool bath.
