Every summer, thousands of visitors head to the heart of Mid-Wales for four unforgettable days celebrating the very best of Welsh and British agriculture and 2026 promises to be bigger, brighter and more exciting than ever. From world-class livestock and equine competitions to forestry, horticulture, countryside sports, crafts, shopping and mouthwatering food and drink, there’s something around every corner to entertain the whole family. Add in 12 hours a day of live attractions, displays and entertainment, and it’s easy to see why the Show remains a true highlight of the summer.

Celebrating the Best in Agriculture

As always, the showground will be buzzing with livestock and equine classes, prestigious competitions and top exhibitors travelling from across the UK and beyond, all hoping to take home one of the coveted Royal Welsh rosettes. Whether it’s cattle, sheep, horses, goats or traditional rural skills, the Royal Welsh continues to celebrate the passion, pride and heritage at the heart of the countryside.

Main Ring Magic Returns

The 2026 Main Ring line-up is set to wow audiences, led by the world-famous King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and their spectacular Musical Drive. Making a welcome return for the first time since 2022, this breathtaking display of precision horsemanship and military pageantry is guaranteed to draw the crowds.

There’ll be thrills and laughs throughout the four days too, with the adrenaline-pumping Paul Hannam Quad Bike Stunt Show alongside the ever-popular Meirion Owen and his hilarious Quack Pack. High above the showground, the RAF Falcons Parachute Team will deliver jaw-dropping aerial displays, while the Regimental Band of the Royal Welsh keeps the atmosphere alive with stirring performances across the event.

Traditional Favourites and New Attractions

Traditional favourites are also back in force, including the ever-entertaining Inter Hunt Team Relay, Parade of Hounds and Mounted Games, joined by impressive demonstrations from Tristar Carriage Driving, Hawkeye Falconry UK and the British Army Drone Sports Association.

Families will find plenty to enjoy in the lively Sports Village, packed with hands-on activities, games and interactive fun — including the much-loved Tractor Ted. For visitors seeking an extra rush of excitement, Zip World’s Big Red mobile zip line will once again send daredevils soaring above the showground.

A Spotlight on Welsh Farming Heritage

New for 2026 is the Welsh Sheep Village – Cynefin, a brand-new attraction celebrating the importance of the Welsh sheep industry and offering visitors an up-close look at one of Wales’ most iconic and important agricultural sectors.

Following its hugely successful debut in 2025, the Heavy Horse Village also returns, shining a spotlight on these magnificent gentle giants and their historic role in farming life. The dedicated area proved a huge hit with visitors last year and will once again showcase the strength, versatility and enduring appeal of shire and heavy horses.

A Feast of Welsh Food and Drink

And no visit to the Royal Welsh Show would be complete without sampling the incredible food and drink on offer. The Food Hall and Welsh Food Village, Gwledd | Feast, will be packed with delicious local produce, artisan treats and street food flavours from across Wales, perfect for refuelling between attractions.
