Dance Days is back with lots of free entertainment
Enjoy a free weekend of dance performances and workshops in Swansea this summer. Taliesin, Dance Days is back with an action-packed weekend, bringing together performers from across the UK and beyond, dancing alongside local groups, in a world-class dance festival.
Swansea will be buzzing when Dance Days takes over the city centre, Swansea Marina and National Waterfront Museum on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July, for a celebration of dance. Swansea was one of the first UK cities to join this worldwide dance network, which includes Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, Geneva, London and Manchester.
Traditional and contemporary, hip hop and acrobatic, this year’s programme features a dazzling variety of dance for everyone to enjoy. Dance Days welcomes back the incredible, 2Faced Dance Company, Company Chameleon, and Mimbre, with a mix of contemporary, street, parkour and circus dance.
Local favourites, County Youth Dance Company, Isaac-Clarke Dance Academy, Can Do Hub, and the Iberian & Latin American Association in Wales, will also entertain you throughout the weekend.
Kitsch & Sync Collective offer their trademark mix of comedy and antics, and be sure to catch a selfie with Swan In Love!
You can also join in with the experts and learn a few steps or try your hand at juggling, alongside lots of other activities. The dazzling mix of dance styles, brought together at locations around Swansea is suitable for all ages – there will be something for the whole family to enjoy, and best of all it’s free.
