For six decades, Llanmoor Homes has been a trusted name in housebuilding across South Wales, combining the reassurance of a family-run business with a progressive approach to modern living.

Founded in 1966 by Chartered Accountant Brian Grey, Llanmoor has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality new homes in sought-after locations, from Neath Port Talbot in the west to Monmouthshire in the east. And, as it marks its diamond anniversary, the company has reached another significant milestone: the completion of its 5,000th home.

While society, regulation and construction methods have changed dramatically over the past 60 years, Llanmoor’s core principles have remained the same. Still privately owned and run by the founder’s sons, Simon, Matthew and Tim Grey, the business continues to prioritise professionalism, attention to detail and a highly personal service for buyers.

Tim Grey, Sales Director said: “Reaching 60 years in any business is a huge achievement, and particularly in an industry that has seen so much change. Being able to say we are still family run, still independent and still building homes to the same standards set by our father is something we’re incredibly proud of.”

Since completing its first small development of bungalows in the village of Brynna, near Pencoed, Llanmoor has delivered more than 55 developments across South Wales. Its commitment to quality has been recognised through industry accolades, including LABC Cymru Building Quality Awards, NHBC Pride in the Job Awards and an A1 rating from the National House Building Council, reflecting exceptionally high standards of finish to its homes.

Alongside its heritage, Llanmoor continues to invest in the future of housebuilding. The company recently announced a £3 million investment to install air source heat pumps in all newly built homes, further improving their energy efficiency.

The business is also expanding into new areas. Llanmoor is currently constructing its first development in Monmouthshire at Rossers Field, Govilon and is progressing plans for Pentref Rhostir in Swansea. This 1,950-home development on 280 acres of land will become Swansea’s largest-ever residential development and the company’s first in the city.

Tim added: “We’re continually seeking opportunities to acquire land suitable for future residential development across South Wales and we maintain our focus on ensuring that our homes stand out for the right reasons. After 60 years, our aims remain the same – to build homes of the highest possible standards, offer high levels of customer care and create developments and homes that we and our homeowners can be proud of.”
