Dust off the sequins and prepare to party, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert The Musical is strutting into the Wales Millennium Centre this spring in a glittering, feel-good spectacular you won’t want to miss.

Celebrating 30 fabulous years since the iconic film first captured hearts, this dazzling new UK and Ireland tour promises bigger laughs, bolder costumes and more sparkle than ever before.
Based on the Oscar-winning film, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, the musical follows three friends on a hilarious and heartfelt journey across the Australian Outback as they travel aboard a battered bus, named Priscilla, to stage the performance of a lifetime. Along the way, they discover friendship, acceptance and the courage to be unapologetically themselves in a joyous celebration of love, identity and belonging.
Leading the cast is acclaimed cabaret star Adèle Anderson, best known as one third of the award-winning satirical trio Fascinating Aïda. Bringing warmth, wit and elegance to the role of Bernadette, Anderson’s celebrated stage presence promises both humour and heart in equal measure.
Fan favourite Kevin Clifton, best known for winning Strictly Come Dancing and starring in hit musicals including Chicago and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, takes on the role of Tick/Mitzi. Clifton’s dynamic performance style and dance expertise bring an electrifying energy to the production, blending comedy, vulnerability and show-stopping choreography.

Joining them is stage and screen favourite Peter Duncan as Bob. A familiar face to generations of audiences through theatre, television and presenting roles, most famously from Blue Peter in the 1980s. Duncan adds depth and warmth to the story’s unlikely friendship at its heart.
Directed by Olivier Award-nominee Ian Talbot OBE, with exhilarating choreography by Olivier Award-winner Matt Cole, this anniversary production raises the glamour stakes with spectacular new costumes by BAFTA-winning designer Vicky Gill, best known for her dazzling creations on Strictly Come Dancing. Expect extraordinary headdresses, outrageous sequins and jaw-dropping couture moments that transform the stage into a riot of colour and sparkle.
And then there’s the music. Packed with iconic 80s and 90s disco and dancefloor anthems including Hot Stuff, It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Finally, every number is designed to have audiences singing along and dancing in their seats.
Bold, heartfelt and unapologetically fabulous, Priscilla is more than a musical, it’s a celebration of individuality, friendship and pure theatrical joy. So gather your friends, embrace the glitter and get ready to shake your groove thing, because Cardiff is about to get seriously fabulous.
