Housebuilder sets late October deadline for buyers to reserve and be in by Christmas

This October, Barratt David Wilson Redrow South Wales (BDWR) is reminding house-hunters that there’s still time to secure a new home and be settled in by Christmas.
With a reservation deadline of 24 October 2025, BDWR South Wales has available homes within a range of plots across South Wales — from Swansea to Cardiff and Newport.
Buyers who act quickly could be waking up in their dream home this December — just in time for the festive season. And the best present of all? BDWR South Wales offers a variety of financial schemes to help make the process more affordable.
The Help to Buy - Wales scheme offers 20% interest free support on houses up to £300,000 when you put down a 5% deposit, whilst a Deposit Boost can help to secure a more competitive mortgage rate by doubling your deposit.
Other useful schemes available for those looking to make a move, include Barratt Redrow’s Part Exchange offer. This sees house hunters sell their existing property to the developers who then become guaranteed buyers, eliminating any estate agent fees and avoiding the hassle of being on a property chain.
These offers are possible across a range of Barratt and David Wilson Homes developments in South Wales, such as Holly View in Cwmbran — where more than 70% of the three- and four- bedroom homes available are already sold.
Located just minutes from the local shopping centre and surrounded by scenic walks, the site’s energy-efficient homes are ideal for first-time buyers and families to take root.
Meanwhile, at Pentref Llewelyn in Penllergaer, 80% of homes in the Barratt and David Wilson Homes development have been reserved since the site launched in Spring. The development — which last year opened its own Little Library — has quickly become a family-focused community. Several plots are still available for reservation on this site through David Wilson Homes, with the chance to move in, in time for Christmas.
Other sites with availability to reserve plots include Afon Las — located in Cardiff’s garden city suburb, Plasdŵr — and The Orchards, which is situated in the beautiful countryside of Ross-on-Wye.
Sales Director at Barratt David Wilson Redrow South Wales, Sian Smith, said: “We know many people dream of waking up on Christmas morning in the comfort of a brand-new home, and we’re here to help make that happen.
“We have a team of dedicated advisers ready to support buyers — be that by guiding them to the best schemes available or by helping to make the move as seamless as possible.
“With the festive season fast approaching, I’d like to encourage anyone considering a move to get in touch with our expert team before the deadline. That way, you can look forward to celebrating this Christmas in a new Barratt or David Wilson home.”
