A winter wonderland awaits at Margam Country Park
Step into a sparkling winter wonderland this Christmas as Luminate returns to Margam Country Park with dazzling new installations, interactive adventures and plenty of festive magic.

As darkness falls, the historic park will be transformed by more than 120,000 lights, creating an enchanting after-dark experience for all ages.
Luminate began at Margam Country Park in 2019 and has since welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors nationwide. For 2026, the trail has been reimagined with new attractions and its most interactive experience yet.
Margam’s magnificent Gothic castle will take centre stage, with a spectacular new digital projection bringing its historic walls to life. Visitors can journey through the fiery Ember Kingdom – Tanwen Y Ddraig, experiment with Light Play and discover surprises around every corner.

New for this year is Christmas Corner. Follow the reindeer path to a magical cabin, where children can post their Christmas wishes in the official Luminate Post Box and watch it light up.
Cross the shimmering Bridge of Light, stroll along the colourful Rainbow Path and challenge family members to The Battle of the Lights – an illuminated tug of war with a festive twist.
There’s more winter magic in the Frozen Realm, where visitors can dance beneath falling snow surrounded by twinkling lights and animation.

After exploring, head to the festive winter village to warm up with mulled wine or hot chocolate and toast marshmallows over the fire pits.
The much-loved Wishing Wall also returns, inviting visitors to write down their heart’s desire and add it to the display. Share a photograph of your wish on social media and the Luminate fairies could even make one lucky visitor’s dream come true.
“We’re delighted to be returning to Margam Country Park with our best Luminate yet,” says co-founder Janine Maycock. “Since we launched Luminate here in Wales, we’ve made almost half a million Christmas memories. The story continues this year, so please do join us to create more magic.”
Dedicated dog-friendly evenings will be available, alongside selected evenings for visitors with Special Educational Needs.

Set within 1,000 acres of beautiful parkland, Margam provides a suitably spectacular backdrop for a Christmas experience filled with light, laughter and a little seasonal magic.
