9 April

Hoppy Easter

Plantasia Swansea

Hop down to Plantasia Tropical Zoo on Sunday 9th April for a Hoppy Easter event! Some-bunny’s taken over the jungle and filled it full of hoppy bunny Easter decorations and egg-citing activities for all the family. Hop to it, as you follow the bunny tracks trail around the jungle in search of the animal’s eggs. How many will you find? All successful trail completions will be entered into a prize draw, there will also be Easter crafts and face painting.

 


15 April

Free Family Fun Day

Swansea Recreation Ground, Mumbles Road SA2 0AU

Everyone is welcome to The Circus Village Festival in Swansea for a Free Family Fun Day on Saturday 15 April, 10:30 - 4:00pm. You can enjoy all the fun of the circus at Swansea Recreation Ground, surrounded by Big Top circus tents. There will be tonnes of fun circus activities for kids of all ages, entertaining walk-about performances, and special guests that will be revealed closer to the time. The Café and Bar will be open for refreshments throughout the day.

His Dark Materials – World Building in Wales

Glynn Vivian Art Gallery The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery is delighted to present, in partnership with Bad Wolf, a look behind-the-scenes of BBC and HBO’s multi-award-winning, His Dark Materials. The exhibition will be open to the public with free entry, until 23 April 2023. They also have drop-in workshops and crafting sessions throughout the Easter break, with something for everyone, check the website for details.

 


7 - 10 April

The Big Museum Easter Trail

National Waterfront Museum

Become an Easter detective and get counting to claim your tasty treat! Complete a cute craft to become a detective bunny, then set off on your way to search for the bunny friends hiding around the Museum. There will be Eggciting Challenges to complete, from 'Spot the Difference' to finding the little 'Golden Egg' hiding at one of the locations. £4.00 per trail - includes a chocolate treat (dairy free option available).

Ministry Of Science Live - Science Saved The World!

Swansea Grand Theatre

Join the presenters as they dive deep into the world of science and look at how science shapes the modern world we live in with a few loud bangs along the way! They'll take an anarchic approach to science communication whilst looking at the scientists, engineers and inventors who have shaped the modern world that we live in whilst proving that each and everyone of us have the ability to change our world for the better! Expect 20ft liquid nitrogen clouds, exploding oxygen & hydrogen balloons, fire tornados, hydrogen bottle rockets, ignited methane and even a self-built hovercraft!

Become a Duck Detective

Llanelli Wetlands Centre

The wetlands centre has a mystery to solve this Easter and they need your help. The friendly collection of birds may seem very innocent and well-behaved, but there’s a cheeky rascal waddling among them. You’ll need to use all your senses as you explore the wetlands and follow clues to eliminate suspects one by one to uncover the culprit. If you’re looking for a fun outdoor activity for all the family this half-term, the new Duck Detectives story trail is the perfect Easter treat.
